Surrender Of All Our Actions To The Lord
— Swami Ramdas
Beloved Papa advised that as it may not be feasible to chant the Divine Name continuously due to our involvements with our family, professional and social activities, our outer actions should reflect an inner remembrance of the Divine. This involves infusing our actions with love, excellence, dedication and gratitude, regardless of the task’s scale. Over time, we come to realise the significance of every action, no matter how small or big it may appear to be.
Seva or service aims to recognise the presence of God as love in the entire manifestation through caring, sharing and dedicated service. It transcends the concept of social service, which often carries a sense of personal ownership and ego.
Instead, Vishwa Seva or Universal Service acknowledges that God is the ultimate orchestrator of service, prompting us to serve, providing the resources and being the ultimate beneficiary. Thus, every action becomes a part of God’s Divine Play, Will and Work, leading to spiritual progress and a deeper connection with the Divine.
