Seva ( Surrender Of All Our Actions To The Lord )

The peace and liberation of an individual is surely based upon his or her contribution towards the collective human happiness and harmony. 'Seva' seeks to recognise His Presence as LOVE in the entire manifestation (Creation) through caring, sharing and dedicated service. Beloved Papa is emphatic about his views on service, he says, “Love which does not express itself as service is not love.” Therefore the motto of the Ashram is “Universal Love & Service based on the vision of divinity in all”. Seva is not social service. When we use the term 'social service', we feel we are helping others. The sense of doer-ship owns such activities. From the spiritual point of view, this attitude will retard our progress on the spiritual path. Vishwa Seva (Universal Service) starts off with the understanding that God creates the field of service, He prompts us to serve, He provides the resources to serve, and He Himself is the beneficiary. Everything is happening as a part of His play, His will and His work.
